Amidst intense corruption and unrest, Béljoy provides consistent financial support to organizations in Haiti working to provide safe housing, food, and education to women and families in rural Haiti. Prior to the pandemic, Béljoy offered sustainable dignified employment to artisans in Haiti but ceased operations because the rampant corruption prevented production. There is continued hope for stability for the country and communities in Haiti, and Béljoy aims to restore production and employment opportunities for Haitian women in the future.
Béljoy's high-quality jewelry pieces are currently made in Joplin, MO, and are symbols of the resiliency of the Haitian artisans, their children, and the organization.
