Champion of Change
Becca's hope for a global movement for women’s freedom began with Thistle Farms’ first residential home.
After experiencing the death of her father and subsequent child abuse when she was 5, Becca longed to open a sanctuary for survivors offering a loving community.
In 1997, five women who had experienced trafficking, violence, and addiction were welcomed home.
Thistle Farms’ first house was just the beginning.

She balances the practical and poetic with an inspirational voice in the huge choir of people championing the work for a more loving, compassionate, and just world.
Fearless of the exponential growth of her work, she challenges social norms and inspires women to step up for each other - with grace, generosity, vitality, spirit, and love.
A graduate of the University of the South and Vanderbilt Divinity School, Becca has been conferred four honorary doctorates.
