MEDIA GUIDELINES

For media interviews with Becca Stevens or visits to Thistle Farms, contact Marlei Olson at marlei@thistlefarms.org.

Media visits can be arranged at Thistle Farms on Monday/Wednesday/Fridays, 9am-2pm (CST). On Wednesdays at 9am, we open our Morning Meditation to the community. Media are welcome to participate with advance notice.

Photography requests require advance approval.

As Thistle Farms is a place of business, and due to the number of requests we receive, it is not always possible to set up individual interviews with women. We are only able to accommodate a limited number of video requests. Contact Marlei Olson at marlei@thistlefarms.org for further details.

Please use first names only in articles.  For interviews, we recommend open-ended questions that concentrate on a woman’s experience with Thistle Farms or her future. Suggestions include:

  • Tell us about your work at Thistle Farms.
  • What does healing look like for you?
  • How does recovery impact your family and friends?
  • What has been the best and the hardest lessons in recovery?
  • What do you enjoy most about your life now?
