Strings for Hope turns recycled guitar strings into jewelry while employing women in recovery from addiction, human trafficking, and domestic violence to craft each piece by hand.
Their year-long work development program offers women in the initial steps of recovery consistent employment, supplemental income, job skills, resume building opportunities and the therapeutic process of creating something new. The goal at Strings for Hope is twofold: equip women with transferable skills that empower them for future employment while diverting used guitar string from the landfill. Products from Strings for Hope are good for people and the planet, and they employ women from Thistle Farms!
