Natural All Purpose Spray Cleaner Recipe

Natural All Purpose Spray Cleaner Recipe

The warm weather in Nashville has all of us at Thistle Farms throwing open the windows and dedicating ourselves to deeply cleaning our living spaces. Nashville winters are cloudy, and these bursts of springtime sun literally shine a light on the forgotten corners that need some extra love.

Let’s tidy up our home’s surfaces with a natural cleaner that will kill winter’s leftover germs and motivate us with a bright kick of eucalyptus, lemon, lavender, and other beneficial essential oils.

This recipe can be made with ingredients you probably already have. If you don’t have distilled water, use tap water on this first batch. If you don’t have a lemon, leave it out this time. We like it best with the ingredients that are listed below, but it’s a pretty forgiving formulation.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 cup water (we prefer distilled)

1 cup white vinegar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

15-20 drops Thistle Farms Immunity Essential Oil

1 16 oz spray bottle (preferably glass)

Mix all ingredients in bottle, using funnel if necessary, refrigerate between uses if using lemon juice. Your surfaces will spring to life with this powerful but gentle natural cleaner. Use your best judgement on your home’s delicate surfaces, testing a small area if you’re uncertain. This recipe works great as an after-shower spray as well. Just give a quick spritz and rinse to keep your shower sparkling clean between scrubbings with our bathtub/shower scrub.

Thistle Farmer Ann says “I love using natural and cost-effective products in my home, and this spray cleaner recipe is my all-time favorite. The Immunity Essential Oil Blend is a great disinfectant, smells amazing, and fuels my cleaning day with it’s uplifting aroma.”
