Our friend Ned, overhauling the reputation of teenagers one plant at a time.
Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in Scouts BSA (formerly known as Boy Scouts of America). The requirements necessary to achieve this rank take years to fulfill. Eagles must earn at least 21 merit badges, live according to the Scout oath and law, and complete an extensive Eagle project which the scout plans, organizes, leads and manages. Only 4% of extra-dedicated Scouts are granted this rank after a lengthy review process.
Our friend Ned is exactly that kind of guy! He chose to work with Thistle Farms on his Eagle project and we couldn’t be more proud of him and the result: a beautiful pergola & herb garden. If you have eaten at the Cafe at Thistle Farms recently, you have surely tasted herbs planted by Ned and his awesome crew of volunteers.
Ned, you’re awesome! Congratulations, you’re a great Eagle Scout and Thistle Farmer. Thanks to you, Bates Nursery and EarthMix Products.
