There is a common Cambodian saying: “Men are gold, women are white cloth,” which implies men are strong and cannot be stained or lose their value.  However, women, like a white cloth, are fragile and once dirtied are stained forever.

This collection has been designed to challenge this thinking and be a voice for equality.  We want to let all women know they are valued.

Help spread the message of equality and women's empowerment with this artisan-made toiletry or makeup bag! Its stunning fabric is locally and ethically sourced in Cambodia and made by the female artisans of Penh Lenh. Soft, durable, and the perfect size for small carry-around necessities.

Penh Lenh

Messengers of Equality and Inclusion

Today, Cambodia ranks as one of Southeast Asia’s poorest nations. Over 70% of women working in Cambodia are in vulnerable employment and a woman head of household is likely to earn 55% less than a male head of household. With social attitudes in Cambodia that favor men and discriminate against women, there is much work to be done to achieve gender parity and equality.
