PARTNERING WITH SECOND HARVEST FOODBANK
We are thrilled to announce that The Café will be masking and gloving up to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank to prepare meals for its food service program for children with families facing hardship due to COVID-19.
The team is excited to get back to work and help make 1280 lunches per week, to feed 256 kids living in food-insecure households.
PORCH PANTRY
In response to the March 3 tornado and COVID-19 social distancing, Thistle Farms organized the collection and distribution of food and toiletries to some of our most vulnerable neighbors.
Thistle Farms, Becca Stevens, Levi Hummon, and extended members of our family and community are coordinating the collection and distribution of helpful items and groceries.
Collected items will be safely distributed to the women of Thistle Farms, and families and friends who are at high risk to COVID-19, or who are economically impacted by the recent events and struggling to cover basic needs.
There is no face-to-face conduct, just practical love.
