Handmade by survivor artisans from The Monkey Project in Peru to create sustainable employment opportunities for women in the community.
The Monkey Project believes that love is the most powerful force in the world, and as a social enterprise, we express that love through our commitment to fair-trade business practices.
We provide work to talented Peruvian women who hand-crochet each of our lovable dolls while also, educating the younger generation on social issues and giving back.
Each sock monkey is made by a unique Japanese form of crochet called Amigurumi. They arrive carefully wrapped in a cotton muslin bag, ready to be loved.
