Meet the Artisans
Love Welcomes
Love Welcomes is located in the UK and beyond to provide income for women who are refugees or have been displaced by conflict. They launched in 2017 in response to the refugee crisis in Greece. The founding principle was simple: create hope from despair.
Hundreds of women and children fled their war ravaged homes seeking safety in Greece with little more than the life jackets they were given. These jackets have been resurrected, transformed, and woven into beautiful textiles by the very women whose lives they saved not once, but over and over again. Love Welcomes' home textiles are woven with the hope of employment for over 80 women survivors and their families. Your purchase supports the hope of safety, refuge, and new beginnings.
