This case is handmade in Ajmer, India by our Shared Trade partner, Anchal. When you purchase an Anchal product, you directly support the women who made it. Each artisan receives a living wage verified by the Fair Trade Federation and additional benefits like skills training, educational workshops, health services, gifts, and more.

Anchal's holistic program is designed to address the diverse needs of each woman and equip them with the tools to sustain employment as an Anchal artisan and beyond. 85% of the Anchal's artisans joined the commercial sex trade due to a lack of alternative options. Marginalized from society, these women find themselves trapped in a vicious cycle.

Anchal offers design and skills training, full-time employment, educational workshops, health services, and a supportive community. Through their model, Anchal transforms the trajectory of entire families and helps to create widespread economic growth.
