Meet the Artisans

Country: Greece

Demographic of Artisans: Refugees

Hundreds of women and children fled their war ravaged homes seeking safety in Greece with little more than the life jackets they were given. These jackets have been resurrected, transformed, and woven into beautiful textiles by the very women whose lives they saved not once, but over and over again.

Love Welcomes

Love Welcomes works with 9 women in the Ritsona Refugee Camp through a weaving social enterprise. The weavers receive a fair salary, while the entire camp benefits from access to legal assistance and food security from the sale of the homewares.
