Jennifer is Grateful to Be Reunited
My life was in shambles before I came to Thistle Farms. I made the brave and difficult choice to release custody of my seven children. It felt like the best and most loving thing to do. I prayed every day that I had made the right choice and that their lives were good and full.
One of the gifts I have received since coming to Thistle Farms has been reconnecting with my children, one at a time. Until January, the only relationship left to rekindle was my youngest son's. In January, I received a message from a twenty-eight-year-old man looking for his birth mother. He had found me.
What he said to me will stay with me forever: He said he only thinks of me with love in his heart, that he has had an amazing life, and thanked me for giving him that life.
Just a few weeks ago, he had lunch with my daughter and granddaughters - his sister, and nieces - for the first, but certainly not the last time. At Thistle Farms I have found myself and my children, for that, I will always be forever grateful.
