Thistle Farm’s foray into the world of retail began ten years ago with 2 Magdalene residents selling simple, all-natural candles made in a church kitchen.
Since then, we’ve grown to sell in over 250 stores, including over 20 Whole Foods Markets in the southeast.
Our sales force is still comprised of Magdalene residents and graduates, which is what makes Thistle Farms a unique social enterprise.
Because of retailers’ support, women formerly living lives of addiction and violence on the streets are now thriving in professional roles. Our success depends on collaboration and partnership. We strive for our retail partners to flourish with our brand.
Once you place the first order, our customer-centered approach is implemented, including:
- on-site demos (for stores within driving distance)
- assistance with attractive merchandising
- printed materials that tell the story of Magdalene and Thistle Farms
